Earth vs. the Flying Saucers
Directed by Fred F. Sears
1956 • Unrated • English • 83 min.
Just like it says on the poster, this one is about the people of earth and their fight against aliens in flying saucers. Stop-motion legend Ray Harryhausen (Jason and the Argonauts, Clash of the Titans) created the flying saucer effects, so they’re a step up from the usual 1950s sci-fi fare. Hugh Marlowe stars, a few years after he appeared in another iconic flying saucer flick, The Day the Earth Stood Still.
Cast: Hugh Marlowe, Joan Taylor, Donald Curtis
