This lost city/jungle adventure story never quite lives up to its pedigree (it has an excellent ensemble cast, a Jerry Goldsmith score, and it’s based on a Michael Crichton novel). Maybe the talking gorilla sidekick is an unnecessary distraction? But since we don’t get nearly enough lost city/jungle adventure movies these days, we’ll take it.
