Spielberg’s futuristic film noir from a story by Philip K. Dick tells the tale of a police officer who works with psychics to catch murderers before they can commit their crimes. But when he is accused of a future crime, he has to go on the run to find a hole in the system that can prove his innocence. A beautifully rendered near-future and great performances from Colin Farrell and Samantha Morton anchor an unexpectedly dark outing from the blockbuster director.
