A renegade scientist invents a new element that turns out to be extremely heavy, highly radioactive, and violently magnetic. The original sample of the element was small enough to fit in a briefcase, but it is somehow growing in size at a rapid rate. Americans and Canadians team up in hopes that they can get the situation under control before the element grows so large it destroys the world.
