This iconic 1960s animated series follows the globe-trotting exploits of boy adventurer Jonny Quest and his extended family — his scientist father, his adopted brother Hadji, and his bodyguard “Race” Bannon. It was one of Hanna-Barbera’s earliest action-oriented shows (they were originally known for The Flintstones and funny animal characters like Yogi Bear and Huckleberry Hound). Note that the second season was produced two decades after the first. Season one is a stylish 1960s prestige TV project (it originally aired during prime time on ABC), and season two has more of a quick-and cheap 1980s syndicated kiddie cartoon vibe.
